The insight for this line came from my daughter, who was enamored with expensive, hand-crafted "reborn" dolls on Etsy. My design partner and I realized that making an affordable line of silicone dolls would have a ready audience. In the process of sculpting and casting prototypes, we discovered that the child could animate the limbs simply by turning the baby's head, which we quickly found ways to capitalize on.
The client who licensed this idea from us, Giochi Preziosi , is on their third year of products in this line.
