When ICOM Simulations was purchased by Viacom to become their New Media department, I was asked to help develop a game for one of their signature shows, "Are You Afraid of the Dark?".
Together with a scriptwriter and the programming lead, we developed a point-and-click adventure. Since ICOM had a great deal of experience in full-motion video, we combined still images, full-motion video and sequential art.
It was a AAA scale production incorporating live actors, 2d and 3d art teams, location filming (at Chicago's Congress Theater) and numerous outside resources, including the legendary Post Effects studio.
I was responsible for Art Direction, coordinating of in-house and outside resources and a good deal of the puzzle and game design.
